JeNu Active-Youth Skincare System

When I first heard about a new skincare device that used next-generation, ultrasound technology, I guess you could say that I was ultimately intrigued by the concept. I never heard of any other beauty brand to use this type of technology. Recently, I had the opportunity to try JeNu Active-Youth Skincare System. What did I think?

Week 1

When I first opened the box, I was a little confused until I read the instructions. I discovered how simple this system actually is. This system includes: a professional quality ultrasound wand, a wall charger, a countertop charger, JeNu's Active-Youth Eye Treatment, and JeNu's Active-Youth Lip Serum. The serums both use advanced microsphere technology, which is ultimately appealing.

When you do your eyes, you are suppose to apply the serum directly onto the wand and use it for about one minute before applying your eye cream. When you do your lips, you simply follow the same method. You apply it directly onto the wand and massage your lips for about a minute. You can repeat as desired.

When I first used this product, I knew that the wand was turned on, but could not feel it instantaneously. Then, I noticed that I could feel a little bit of pulsating movement when I would move the wand to different areas. For the first week, I did both the eyes and the lips once a day. I noticed results after 5 uses and continued to see dramatic results after 7 days.

Week 2

After 14 days, I noticed dramatic results. The type of results where I didn't even have to wear makeup and every time I would go out to dinner, I was always getting asked to see ID when asking for a glass of Moscato.

As I am looking in the mirror, I notice that my eyes look brighter and tighter. No bags or dark circles. They look the same as they did when I was 17. I notice that my lips not only feel smoother, but look it too. I also notice that my lips look fuller, as well. After a week of using this device, the results were evidently clear - it really works.

Week 3

When reading the ingredients, I was quite surprised to know that JeNu's products are paraben-free, sulfate-free, and GMO-free. They also do not contain any triclosans or phthalates. The eye treatment and the lip serum are infused with various oils, which is quite impressive.

As I look in the mirror today, I notice that my lips look a lot healthier than they did before using this device. I notice they do not feel nor look dry, which I love. I have endured the dreaded dry lip from time to time, however; that all went away after using the JeNu Active Youth Skincare System.

My eyes really don't need any treatment today. Heck, I am not seeing any reason to continue treating them everyday since I have used this device. I decided to stop using the system on my eyes with the eye treatment everyday and just using the treatment about twice a week for re-touch maintenance. I think my primary focus is on my lips for now.

Week 4

After contemplating and debating whether or not I should use this product on my actual face instead of just those two areas, I decided to cave in and give it a try. Rest assured, it was a great decision. This amazing system also works on your face too. Can you believe it?

Verdict - This amazing skincare system really works. It really delivers more active ingredients into your skin than if you were to use just one standard beauty essential. The effects are intense and long-lasting. Whether you are looking for a little pick-me-up or simply looking for that extra lift, this system will work wonders for you. I definitely recommend this device to anyone who wants to look better.

The JeNu Active-Youth Skincare System is available at JeNu or your nearest JeNu retailer for $249. Would I use this product again? Absolutely. In fact, I just used it on my eyes, lips, and face about 20 minutes ago. Would I recommend it to a friend? Most definitely.

Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture

Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
Introduced in 2008 by Juicy Couture, this fruity floral fragrance proves why it is one of the best selling perfumes of all time. Viva La Juicy is infused with just the right amount of notes to give this acquired scent the recognition it needs. What do I think about this perfume?

PROS

When I first smell Viva La Juicy, I can definitely smell a warm note. It reminds me of vanilla yet cocoa with a hint of praline, sugar, and caramel. The combination is like a plethora of heaven. The next notes I detect are more fruity than anything else. A combination of berries. I can smell a hint of blueberry yet a hint of blackberry. As I continue smelling this amazing fragrance, I can pick up quite a few floral notes. I can definitely smell honeysuckle followed by gardenia.

I can detect a little bit of citrus, but it's very mild. I can pick up on a few other floral notes. I am not sure what they are, but I am guessing a fusion of amber and jasmine. I can also smell somewhat of a woody note. I am going guess sandalwood. In all actuality, this acquired smell is one of the best smells I have discovered yet.

The bottle includes the Juicy Couture label which is very classy yet stylish. It is accented with a bright pink/fuchsia bow which makes it cute.

One thing that was very evident was how long this perfume lasted. After working an 8 hour day, I noticed that I could still smell this fragrance on me. The scent life and longevity is quite decent.

The sillage is not overpowering, which is nice. It's enough to get compliments more than anything.

CONS

If you are into musky scents or prefer powdery, aromatic, woody, aldehydic, spicy, or even leather notes you are not going to like this fragrance. If you are into fresh or clean fragrances that possess more earthy notes that are more animalistic or smoky, I don't see you finding this fragrance appealing.

If you are looking for an extremely sweet fruity fragrance or something that morphs tropical and citrus into the blend, I don't think you may find Viva La Juicy interesting.

RATING: 92%

Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy is available at FragranceNET for $50.19. The Viva La Juicy set by Juicy Couture which offers the fragrance plus a smaller sized body lotion and shower gel is also available for $63.19. Would I use this fragrance again? Yes. In fact, I just sprayed some as I am typing this. I absolutely love it! Would I recommend this fragrance to a friend? Absolutely. Especially to those that love fruity yet floral scents.

Beauty Examiner: 5 Sunless Tanning Products Worth Trying

Vita Liberata makes amazing sunless tanning products.
As many of you are aware, I was accepted to write for Examiner.com a few months ago as a featured Beauty Examiner. As of right now, I am truly loving it. My first article I wrote was about sunless tanning products.

Fall is here and Winter is near. It is no longer Summer, so I think it's safe to say that not everyone has the time to make it to their nearest tanning salon to achieve and/or maintain a tan. Also, not everyone lives in a climate that is warm let alone hot.

One of the safest yet effective ways to achieve a tan is by using a sunless tanning product. When you have a minute, check out my article for Examiner '5 Sunless Tanning Products You Need To Check Out In 2014' where I narrow down the many sunless tanning products to my top 5 favorites.

L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Moisturizer

I was recently in search of a good moisturizer. When I went to visit my mother, she and I got into a relatively deep discussion about skincare. I noticed that her skin looked great, so I wasn't hesitant to ask her what she was doing differently. Without hesitation, she said she was using the L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Moisturizer. That is when I decided to purchase it and try it for myself. So, what did I think?

PROS

When it comes to L'Oreal's Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition moisturizer, it definitely lives up to its marketing concept. At 33 years of age, I noticed results instantly. Then, after about two weeks after using this fabulous addition to L'Oreal Paris skincare, I noticed more dramatically visible results.

I have to admit that one of the things I loved most about this product is the fact that it felt like real butter sinking into my skin, like a second skin. It is also long-lasting and doesn't create any sort of flaky issues.

What I love about this product is the fact that it keeps my skin not only nourished, but hydrated. It is not oily either, which makes it incredibly for just about every skin type.

The scent of L'Oreal's Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Moisturizer is very subtle. If you are someone who can appreciate a product that has a natural scent that, is rather faint and not overpowering, you will enjoy this product.

CONS

If you are someone who is looking for a product free of parabens and synthetic dyes and other lab-created chemicals, more than likely you will not find the L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Moisturizer appealing at all. Even though this product has some natural ingredients, most of them are manufactured.

Although I found that this product caters to an array of skin types, I did notice women (friends who have tried it) with extremely oily skin, acne prone skin and extremely sensitive skin definitely did not like this product. I have combination skin, but it leans toward the oily side during the spring and summer months. It leans toward the normal or drier side during the fall and winter months. It depends solely on climate, and I had absolutely no issues with this product.

You can purchase L'Oreal's Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Moisturizer at your nearest L'Oreal retailer, such as Walmart, Target or Kmart. You can also find this vastly underrated cream at your nearest drugstore such as Walgreens or CVS. It is about $16.59, but prices vary depending on where you purchase it. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Most definitely. Would I use this product again? Yes. Looking good never felt so amazing, but knowing you saved money doing so is a much better feeling.

Meet Tim Mount, NeoCell's Brand Educator

Tim Mount, NeoCell's brand
educator.
Who is Tim Mount? He is a nutrition expert, an herbalist, a martial art instructor, and a fitness writer. He is also the brand educator to one of my favorite health & wellness brands, NeoCell. Recently, I caught up with the brand educator about health, fitness, and NeoCell. Here is what he had to tell me...

(Q) Hello Tim. How are you? Tell me a little more about yourself and your involvement with the NeoCell brand...

I have degrees as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Certified Clinical Master Herbalist, and I’ve been devoted to the natural health industry for over a decade. Originally, I began my career as a natural health professional consulting with clients to “nutritionally support” the healing of physical ailments. At the time I was also teaching a Sports Nutrition class at the college I graduated from – the Natural Healing Institute in Encinitas, CA. I had a serious ankle injury and was on crutches. A classmate, who works for NeoCell, gave me a bottle of Collagen Sport to try out. The rate of healing was so fast that I started looking into collagen more closely and was amazed at what I was finding in the literature! One thing lead to another and now I’m the National Educator for NeoCell. In addition to travelling throughout the country giving lectures on collagen, I write most of the blogs found on our website http://www.NEOCELL.com/blog.php and produce many of the training video found on our YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/NEOCELLcorp.

(Q) As a fan of NeoCell, I have to ask - what inspired you to get involved with NeoCell?

It was my own personal healing experience that got me hooked! I certainly don’t feel like a salesman when I lecture about collagen. I truly believe in our NeoCell product line and know that millions of others can have the same dramatic results if they learn about it and try it out.

(Q) I recently had the opportunity to read the latest blog post you made on NeoCell's blog titled "A Mother's Love" and I have to say that I was truly moved. You wrote this story years ago, which was interesting. Can you tell me more about that particular encounter with the homeless woman?

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I wrote it for myself about 10 years ago when I lived in San Diego. It was never published, but I was so moved by the experience that I didn’t want to forget it happened. I ran across it on my computer and thought it would be a fitting post for Mother’s Day. The encounter has taken on a new meaning for me, now that I’m in my mid-30s. I am a proud father of a beautiful toddler and can finally comprehend the woman’s selflessness and love for her child and grandchild. As a parent, there is nothing more important than our kids, including our own comfort and well being.

(Q) Is it true that you are also a second degree black belt?

Yes, I hold a second degree black belt in judo (Nidan) and I have crossed trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for many years. I was a competitive athlete in my 20s, but due to several severe injuries (5 broken teeth, numerous concussions, MCL tear, and much more), I decided to teach others how to get injured – haha, just kidding – how to defend themselves, so I became a Certified Coach through the USJA. I ran my own club, Aztec Judo, out of San Diego State University for 6 years and taught the judo class at Team Quest for a while. I also taught a credited Self Defense class through the university and was the instructor for the official sexual assault prevention program as well. I spent years developing my program S.A.V.E.D. (Sexual Assault Violence Education and Defense) and wish I had more time today to teach it. Unfortunately, I have taken a sabbatical from martial arts coaching in order to focus on my family and career, but plan to get back into it once my daughter is old enough. Teaching children brought me great joy in life.

(Q) When working out, do you supplement using NeoCell? What are the benefits of using NeoCell products?

Absolutely! I consider collagen the most important supplement that I take for exercise recovery and weight training. I joke that I’ve injured every major joint in my body except my left hip, so I’m very protective of it! After retiring from judo I put a lot of focus on fixing my body. I didn’t want to be the guy in the wheelchair at age 50 because of the abuse I put on it in my younger years. Collagen is essential in preventing new injuries from occurring by strengthening my connective tissue. It also has done wonders healing my old injuries. I now live pain free and without exercise limitations. In fact, I’m training for an NPC Physique show in November. For anyone interested in following my progress, check out my blog http://NEOCELLcollagen.wordpress.com/2014/07/14/weight-loss-and-lean-muscle-routine/ and be sure to follow me for the latest pictures and updates. I plan to write a more extensive meal plan, training guide, and supplement routine on the blog in the near future, which will include an in depth discussion on the collagen and exercise.

(Q) For everyone reading this interview, what would you like them to know? What is next for Tim Mount?

In the short term, personally, I’m highly focused on my upcoming physique competition. Professionally, NeoCell has some very exciting things on the horizon which will keep me very busy! For future endeavors, I have found that as long as I follow my passions in life and put in the effort to become an expert, that opportunities present themselves without me seeking them out. I’m convinced that the natural health industry will continue to grow and more and more people will discover the benefits of NeoCell. Who knows what is in store!

Join Birchbox, Only $10 a Month

As many of you are already aware of Birchbox.com, I will explain what this program is. It is simply a sample society of beauty products. You pay only $10 a month (or $110 for the entire year) for the women's box and $20 a month (or $195 yearly) for the men's box and as a result, you will receive a box filled with an array of samples.

These samples range from full and deluxe sized samples of your favorite skin care or makeup product to your favorite shower gel or body lotion to shampoo/conditioner to even nail polish and more. Some of the other products I have received from this beauty subscription service even cater to lifestyle, as I have received samples of food from various brands including a full size bar of chocolate.

An example of what you receive in a monthly Birchbox subscription.

The subscription offers various products that are based on your personalized beauty profile and the best part is, you can cancel at any time. I have been a member of Birchbox for almost a year now and I love it, as it gives me the opportunity to try new products with the convenience of having them shipped right to my door.

I am a member of the women's box which is only $10 a month, however, my amazing boyfriend Joseph Valo III was a member of Birchbox Man (only $20 a month) for quite sometime before he canceled his subscription. Of course, Joe will be rejoining the program very very soon. Joe received an array of products that included facial serum, shaving cream, a pair of shorts, and even a jump rope.

Although one may have some negative things to say (or weaknesses, rather) I have a lot of strengths I can add about Birchbox, as I have been a member of this subscription service for almost a year now. Do I think it's worth it? Absolutely!

Beauty Talk with Kattia Solano: Exclusive Interview with Butterfly Studio Salon

The amazing Kattia Solano of Butterfly
Studio Salon.
Located in the heart of NYC, the Butterfly Studio Salon is one of the hautest hair establishments in the big apple. Recently, I had the opportunity to talk to the fabulous Kattia Solano, the founder of this amazing place. Here is what she had to tell me...

(Q) Hello Kattia. How are you? Tell me a little more about the Butterfly Studio Salon...

Our salon is in the heart of Flatiron. It's a great place to be because it's right in the middle of uptown and downtown. That makes us unique because we host both uptown and downtown clients (and all travelers and trendsetters in between). We get the best of both worlds! Our clients demand our recommendations for the latest trends and also look to our knowledge for mastering beautiful classic looks. We work very hard on continuing to educate ourselves and we are constantly changing to stay fresh. I have a very talented and diverse team of experts from all different ethnicities and professional beauty backgrounds. It’s the collaborative process between us and sharing what we know - and what we want to know - that allows us to specialize in all different textures, styles, and tones (hair and skin).

(Q) What inspired you to create the Butterfly Studio Salon? Tell me a little more about the inspiration behind it all...

I've always wanted a chic and trendy space without the attitude. A friendly yet fashion forward place that would define a true NY experience with the added warmth and energy of Costa Rica (where I grew up). I come from a family with a background in the industry and I was taught to appreciate the beauty in all things, inside and out. I wanted to bring that inspiration to the salon and combine the beauty of nature with the heart of New York. I also knew I wanted to concentrate on something I felt was lacking in the luxury salon world…Embracing natural hair texture of all types. What I found was that so many other salons focused on one kind of look, and I wanted Butterfly to be known for a different approach and a respect for individuality and multicultural beauty. I love the look and feel of natural hair so I wanted to offer styles that embraced body and gave women the option of something different, or something not so smooth. Now clients are always asking for that effortless beauty look, and they want the feeling of natural, healthy hair.

Another angle that sets us apart is that we collaborate with other experts. We network and learn from the best professionals and creative businesses out there. My vision was always to create a community of well-minded and beauty obsessed people. That’s why we open our space to host launches and special events like wine tastings, trunk shows, and hair tutorial parties. It creates an opportunity to share something new with everyone in our Butterfly family and it adds another level to giving our clients a full experience! It’s important to have a balance which includes the body and soul. We are proud to share a strong sense of community. Our supportive team mentality allows us to grow and stay connected by involving others and keeping it fun!

(Q) Currently, what services does Bufferfly Studio Salon offer?

Our goal has always been to educate our clients and empower them so that they can feel beautiful long after their salon visit! All of our services, from hair to skin and makeup, are customized around each individual client to help them achieve the best version of themselves - both at the salon and at home. We are big on “healthy hair” which is why we are known for our treatment culture. (We even have a separate room dedicated to our hair treatment services.) Healthy hair is beautiful hair, and we strive to get hair in its best shape. Our color team is especially adamant about maintaining the integrity of the hair, because they like to look at hair color as an investment. They put exceptional detail into their work and create a more gentle process, balancing the chemicals with the right treatments, to achieve color that will still look great over time. Even our famed blow out service, the “Butterfly Blow Dry” now includes the option of a complimentary pre-shampoo treatment.

Aside from nails and body message, we offer a complete menu of beauty services. From facials, brow shaping, and waxing to top notch hair extensions, de-frizzing solutions, bridal beauty services, and more! Our styling team takes major inspiration from red carpet and editorial looks, which is how we got the idea for creating the Butterfly Bang Bar a few years ago. It landed us the honor of being in New York Magazine’s “Best Of” issue, and evolved into a dry styling bar for braids, knots, and ponytails. It’s become a part of our styling services, and now includes the option of booking a one-on-one tutorial with our experts, where you can learn how to “get the look” hands-on. We even have a selection of hair accessories to choose from…Some clients will even bring in their own and we can show them how to work with it. This includes hair wraps and head scarves - summer’s hottest accessory!

(Q) I think every beauty enthusiast in the world wants to know, what are some of the newest treatments at the salon?

I can proudly say that we seek out and hand pick the absolute best products the industry has to offer. The best thing about carrying top beauty brands like Oribe, Kerastase, Shu Uemura, and Kevyn Aucoin is that they never stop with product innovation. There’s always a new treatment for the upcoming season, or an exciting product designed to deliver results more amazing and beneficial than the last. This enables us as a salon to also reinvent ourselves, inspiring new ideas in our styles and services, and adding to the personalized Butterfly experience. We also like to balance the latest science and formulas with our own special touch by adding natural home remedies, such as our secret elixir of oils and tonics for treating dry hair and scalp, to our in-house treatment services.

I’m really excited about “Discipline” the new smoothing treatment by Kerastase! It’s a great way to introduce yourself to keratin at a very affordable price point. The 45-minute in-salon service uses Morpho-Keratine technology and intense nourishment to address unruly hair at the core without the use of chemicals. Discipline is ideal for unmanageable hair that is difficult to style, and works for all hair types and textures to manage humidity and control frizz for weeks. It even speeds up drying time! Where Discipline is different is there is no alteration of the hair fiber.

Also look out for the BeautyRx Peel Bar coming this summer! We are thrilled to finally reveal our partnership with NYC's leading dermatologist Dr. Schultz, who will be bringing the BeautyRx Peel Bar and an incredible new skincare service to Butterfly. Dr. Schultz is famous for his glycolic peel, trusted by over 10,000 patients! It’s the single most effective way to achieve healthier, more radiant skin in minutes without any recovery time. Your complexion gets a luminous and youthful boost instantly and in a big way. We’ve all done it and are obsessed! Makeup looks so much better and you need less of it - it really makes you look and feel brighter!

(Q) What is the 'Cezanne Perfect Finish'? Tell me a little more about this treatment offered by your salon...

CPF is unique because it immediately delivers those instant results we look for in a keratin treatment (instantly softer, smoother hair without any frizz) while leaving hair more manageable with that silky, shiny finish for 3 to 5 months. It's the best keratin treatment not only because it’s the safest choice out there for a long term solution, but because it actually treats the hair from the inside out. Cezanne’s proprietary blend of ingredients penetrate the hair shaft, strengthening hair from within. That’s why it’s suitable for literally all hair types (yes, even weakened, fine, or over-processed hair!) A keratin treatment that we can recommend for everyone is what we’ve been waiting for all along. Plus, there are no day of or next day rules. Really! You can even pair the treatment with a cut or color service, all in one shot! There is, of course, another side to the health aspect. Traditional straightening treatments often contain dangerous chemicals, including formaldehyde, which is unsafe for stylists and their clients. Cezanne is non-toxic, is 100% formaldehyde free, and has no odor. No toxic chemicals means it’s completely safe for both parties and requires no special ventilation or masks. It feels great to feel confident about how well it works knowing we’re also protected in the process.

(Q) What is the 'Kerastase Fusio-Dose'? How can someone benefit from getting this treatment? Tell me a little more about this Bufferfly Studio Salon addition...

It’s an instant deep conditioning treatment that our experts personally tailor to target your hair’s needs. We prescribe your made-to-order treatment according to your current hair state and then mix up a nutritious dose of active ingredients on the spot. It targets everything at once to really strengthen and transform the hair from within and also to protect it. After we analyze the condition of your hair, you can choose to apply your personal treatment prescription as an express service (just a few extra minutes at the shampoo bowl) or a comprehensive “Butterfly Ritual” which is more of an indulgent spa-like experience enhanced by massage and our expert methods. For those whose hair needs serious help (like over-processed, brittle haired blondes), you can keep the treatment working with FusioDose Home Lab - a follow-up treatment system to do yourself, which we will create for you. It's made unbelievable changes in our clients hair!

(Q) What causes hair to thin? Is there a root cause of this particular problematic issue? How do you treat someone who has thinning yet relatively fine hair?

The root of the problem is different for everyone. It can be from neglect and improper care to hormones (like estrogen levels), stress, lack of nutrition, health issues, and genetics. We see clients go through it all. I will say that I often see drastic changes for the worse when people go on crash diets, which causes them to stress that having a balanced and nutritious diet is so effective overall. What you put in shows externally…it’s the mentality of “inside out beauty” and treating the body. You need a little bit of everything! That includes fatty acids, omega 3, protein, natural oils like coconut, etc. Personally, I swear by daily fresh green juices! However, there have been huge breakthroughs in the product world. Our clients have found Viviscal all-natural supplements and topical in-salon treatments (such as FusioDose) with stimulating scalp massage to be very effective. We often recommend a haircare regimen with Specifique or Densifique by Kerastase to help revive the hair and scalp while offering thickening and instant body for fine hair. However, because it varies so much a consultation is highly encouraged in order to get the best recommended plan.

(Q) What is the 'Skin Perfecting Facial'? Tell me a little more about this particular treatment...

Butterfly Skin-perfecting Facials by way of skincare from top NYC celebrity facial specialist Joanna Vargas! Butterfly esthetician and makeup artist Cristina Marroquin, trained personally by JV for the facial, uses her special touch and pro technique secrets to create a fresh and refining facial experience using natural and organic ingredients, loaded with antioxidants and benefits. It's "food for the face" in one service! Take in fresh smells like citrus and lemongrass and unwind in our serene space as we cleanse, hydrate, and exfoliate skin to reveal firmer and tighter results. Complete nourishment and anti-aging fast to rejuvenate your complexion while protecting from the environment and increasing collagen production. We also offer a commitment-free introduction to this experience with our “Happy Hour” for skin on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 12pm to 2pm. Anyone can drop in for a skin consultation and give the products a test run with a complimentary 15 min mini facial and makeup touchup! Every week!

(Q) When someone comes up to and says "Kattia, you have not only changed the way that I look and help me embrace my beauty, but you have changed my life." How does this kind of feedback make you feel?

This is what I live for! Being able to empower others is a huge motivation to keep doing it - and always searching for how to do it better. I feel our success comes from the happiness of our clients and the fulfillment that we feel from having a hand in making others feel amazing and transformed. There’s nothing better than being able to be so creative, knowing you are making people feel so good about themselves, while making memorable connections and having fun doing so. To be fortunate enough to do that everyday is one of the greatest gifts! There is no comparison. My clients are beyond wonderful!

(Q) Have you considered starting your own hair care line?

Definitely! It’s something I have always thought about. The ideas are there and I’m in the research phase now. When the time is right, it's going to be amazing! I will say that my goal is to make sure the line is easy and simple for everyone to use, based on natural rituals and following that beauty of nature approach.

(Q) For all of those hair lovers and enthusiasts reading this interview, what would you like them to know? What is next for the Butterfly Studio Salon?

We are working on developing our Butterfly Academy. For some time now, I've wanted to hold classes to share our knowledge with everyone and network with others professionals on a new level. I believe that we can never stop learning, nor should we - ever! Education is the key to success and growth. We’ve always been just as much educators as we are stylists to our clients. We take any opportunity to share our tips and tricks because we know beauty maintenance is a daily practice! Not to mention the same rules do not apply for every hair type! That knowledge is not only a must - it’s everything. Clients who want to take it a step further can book a one-on-one blow dry lesson or makeup lesson, and we encourage bringing in your own tools to make sure the technique is perfected for home. We even do group classes and private parties around our lessons and make more of a fun event out of these how-to classes.

We’re looking to continue helping others learn and do our workshops in an even bigger way. We’ve recently revamped our website and launched our Butterfly Culture Club section which is a beauty source for all of our tips and favorite trends, directly from our in-house experts. We wanted to continue the education so it’s a platform to regularly make our expertise available and also a way to have Team Butterfly in your pocket 24/7! You can find photo and video tutorials by us, and much more!
