2+1 For Brows by Paula Dorf

When I heard that Brand Backer was offering a special opportunity to try an eye brow product by Paula Dorf, I have to admit I was pretty stoked. In fact, moments after receiving the email, I instantly jumped towards the opportunity.

For those of you that do not know, the 2+1 For Brows is a special round palette that includes two pigmented shades along with brow wax. Recently, I had the opportunity to try 2+1 For Brows by Paula Dorf. So, what did I think?

PROS

I have tried the brunette and I love how pigmented the color is. A little goes along way. The color pay-off is fantastic.

After wearing this brow product for a few hours, I noticed that it didn't smear nor did it smudge and budge. It is surprisingly long-lasting, especially with a primer and in collaboration with the wax.

This Paula Dorf addition offers an amazing eye brow brush. The Perfect Brow brush itself is slightly angled and is not too thin or thick. It's also very easy to clean and the bristles do not fall out. The handle is not long, but it isn't extremely short. It is still effective when applying the color and the wax. (Use code: BROWBRUSH to receive this brush free with your 2+1 For Brows purchase.)

It is round and very compact, making it great for traveling. It fits right inside of your purse. The brush also fits, as well. If you are into products that you can take anywhere, you will love this one.

Not only is this product fragrance free, it is hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types.
No animals were harmed when this product was created, as Paula Dorf cosmetics does NOT test on animals.

CONS

This product contains an array of ingredients. Some of them include: Dimethicone, Mica, Methyparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Trimethysiloxysilicate, Panthenol, and more. If you are allergic or suffer from any skin tribulations from these ingredients, you are not going to be interested in this product.

This product is not paraben-free. If you are one who embraces the natural and organic concept, I do not believe this product will interest you.

In terms of colors, I believe they should be a little more extensive. The brunette is modestly dark, but is not suitable for those with black or ebony colored hair. The brunette worked great for me. I have medium to dark brown hair and medium/tan skin tone.

If you are on a budget and are looking to spend less than $10, you may not find this product appealing.

You can purchase Paula Dorf's 2+1 for Brows at Paula Dorf for $26. Would I use this product again? Yes. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes. Especially if they are looking for a great eye brow product. For more information about this eye brow product, click here right now.

Best Fall Makeup Tips

It's official, as of September 21, 2014, Fall is here. Now we are in October and Fall is now the season to embrace as it's a mixture of both hot and cold weather. I love everything about Fall. The bright leaves falling from the trees, the smell of pumpkins and spice, and the idea that the holidays are approaching. What is better than that?

When it comes to makeup and Fall, is there really something you shouldn't do? Should you wear matte lipstick? Should you wear luminizer? Should you wear mascara on your bottom lashes? Should you limit the amount of lip product you should wear? Should you wear powder foundation? What shouldn't you do?

Check out my latest article on Examiner, A Look At The Best Fall Makeup Tips where I give my opinion on what to do during this season and what not to.

Joseph Valo III: ZIRH Face Scrub & ZIRH Face Wash

My amazing man, Joe Valo III took it upon himself to review both ZIRH's Aloe Face Scrub ($20) and ZIRH's Clean Alpha-Hydroxy Face Wash ($15). I thought both of his reviews for these two products were fantastic, which is why I am sharing them with you today.

A lot of people assume that men's grooming is non-existent because there are so many skincare brands in the world today, however, it's quite apparent that more men are caring more and more about their skin. Brands such as ZIRH were created for men because men have different skin than women.

So, whether you are looking for a gift for your husband, your father, your grandfather, your son, your son-in-law, your nephew, your cousin, or your friend or simply looking to purchase skincare to share, you may want to consider these two ZIRH products.

Victoria's Secret Shopping: Very Sexy Plumeria Pink

One thing that I love about Victoria's Secret is the fact that they offer such a diversified selection of bra and panty sets and this one is definitely proof of that. The Plumeria Pink is stunning. It's a bright pink that leans towards hot pink and fuchsia with lilac purple accents. Online it was cute when I first looked at it, however, in person it is absolutely gorgeous. The next time you visit Victoria's Secret, I highly recommend checking out the Very Sexy Push-Up Bra in Plumeria Pink along with the matching panty. You may just decide to pick it up. I know that I did.

Beauty Examiner: Cellu-Cup

As many of you are already aware, I am always discovering quite a few amazingly unique beauty products. The Cellu-Cup is definitely one of them.

You apply the sweet orange massage oil before you use the special silicone suction which is the special tool used to get rid of cellulite. As I am working on composing a review for the Cellu-Cup, I have to say it was great talking to Chantal Fairve about it.

In fact, a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to speak with publication director of Cellu-Cup about this amazing body care tool. Read my interview with Chantal Faivre, the publication director of the brand here.

Princess Night by Vera Wang

Princess Night by Vera Wang
Introduced in 2011 by Vera Wang, this romantic fragrance hit the shelves in January of 2012. Princess Night is best described as a spicy yet oriental fragrance that includes fruity, floral, and woody notes. What do I think about this perfume?

PROS

The top note is definitely a warmer note. It is a combination of sugar with a hint of vanilla and cocoa. The raspberry note is very evident in this fragrance, which I love. I can smell several other fruity notes that remind me of a combination of cherry and honey dew. The fact that it is more fruity than anything else makes me really love this perfume.

I am not a fan of musk notes, but what makes me enjoy this fragrance is that the musk note is very subtle in this fragrance. The jasmine and rose notes really bring this fragrance together along with the woodsy scents.

The bottle is something to not only love, but appreciate. It is heart-shaped, covered with dark glitter. The cap resembles a silver crown with a hint of bling. This makes the bottle novelty chic.
After applying this fragrance early in the morning, it lasted 12 hours and still managed to last an additional 3 hours on top of that. The scent life of this perfume is fantastic.

The sillage is moderate, as it isn't overpowering at all. In fact, you will get compliments more so than any criticism.

Personally, I think anyone would love this fragrance because it is one of those that is great for anyone. Although it is very different from Aquolina's Pink Sugar, there are some similarities in note collaborations that make this fragrance a lot like that one.

CONS

If you are into musk notes, as well as, intense floral notes; you may not find Princess Night appealing. If you are prefer clean scents or if you are into extremely fruity or citrus fragrances, you may not like this perfume.

Not every fragrance in the world is for everyone, so if you are into mature scents that emphasize on using musk, woody, and powder notes or you are into uni-sex scents that combine various floral, woody, and spicy notes; I don't think this Vera Wang addition will interest you.

RATING - 90%

Vera Wang's Princess Night is available at FragranceNET for $48.19. Would I use this fragrance again? Absolutely. In fact, I just sprayed some 20 minutes ago. Would I recommend this fragrance to a friend? Yes, especially to those that love fruity yet warm scents. For more information about this product, please visit FragranceNET today.

Pure Rayz by Baby Quasar

When I first heard about Baby Quasar, I have to admit I was intrigued by the red light therapy concept. At first I was skeptical, however, all of that changed when I tried their most recent device, Pure Rayz. So, what did I think?

Week 1

After carefully reading the instructions, I used my Pure Rayz device about 16 minutes the first time I tried it. As this device includes an automatic timer (which I admit, I love) that shuts off the device after 4 minutes, I used it on my forehead, followed by the left and right side of my face, and then on my chin area. I did this for 7 days. I noticed results, however, they were not big. I could tell that the device was working.

Week 2

I continued the pattern of using this device at the end of the day for 16 minutes. I went with 16 minutes instead of 12 minutes simply because I wanted to get the highest power of output for maximum penetration of collagen stimulation and production.

Week 3

At the beginning of the third week, I decided to go tanning, as I wanted to look radiant for my vacation. I continued using the device every single day for 16 minutes. A few hours after I would tan, I would cleanse, exfoliate, and tone my skin. I didn't use a serum or a moisturizer, as I wanted maximum penetration. I would use the device after I did a simple skincare regime before applying a serum and moisturizer.

Week 4

After using this device for 4 weeks for 16 minutes a day, I noticed that the slight depigmentation my skin endured was practically gone. I also noticed that my acne scars disappeared. The acne scars that were still visible were highly minimized by 60%.

Week 5

As I contemplated and debated whether or not to use as a serum before using this device, I still continued using it without applying anything to my face. I was starting to see incredible results. I also noticed that my skin remained clear. As a woman in her early 30s who has suffered from acne on and off her entire life, I was so happy to notice that my skin did not breakout.

Week 6

I continued using the product as directed, but decided to also use the device on other areas of the body. These areas include: neck, d├ęcolletage, breasts, and stomach. As I continued the regular 16 minutes for my face, I went with 8 minutes for every area to see if the collagen production would continue. And guess what? It did. I think it was the end of this week that I realized this device really works.

Week 7

I continued using Pure Rayz every single day for 16 minutes. Some days I would use a serum and other days, I would exclude one. I decided to add an additional 8 minutes as I wanted to do both eye areas, including the areas under my eyes. I also wanted to incorporate my nose area too. I noticed that I had a headache on the Thursday of this week. I placed the device on my head and it went away.

Week 8

After using the product for 8 weeks, I noticed amazingly epic results. I noticed that some acne scars that I have been trying to get rid of were completely gone. I guess you could say that I was sublimely happy with the results I received. Would I take advantage of the 60-day guarantee? Absolutely not. Why? Because Pure Rayz works.

PROS

When it comes to light penetration, I believe this device definitely delivers more than your average red light therapy device. In fact, I find that the maximum penetration is delivered when using Pure Rayz.

What I found amazing about the Pure Rayz by Baby Quasar is the fact that it not only works to treat wrinkles, depigmentation, and even scars, it also works to prevent acne. It may not be as effective as Clear Rayz, but it definitely works.

This device includes 40 LED lights total. This includes 20 red lights, 10 amber lights, and 10 infrared lights. There are a total of 4 distinct wavelengths of light which work together for even clarity.

What I found so impressive with this device is the fact that it is durable, plastic, and on top of that, it comes with a bag which makes it easy to travel. It's portable and compact in a sense where it will fit into your purse and/or handbag, as well as, your general carry-on bag.

At first I was kind of skeptical about using it on my skin, as my skin is combination and tends to change depending on my environment. When I first used this device, my skin was somewhat dry, however, there would be days where it was extremely oily. With that said, Pure Rayz literally works on all skin types.

I go tanning from time to time. My natural skin tone is a medium, but right now it's leaning towards dark. This device works so incredibly amazing with my skin right now, as it did when I first used it. Whether you are light or dark, you can benefit from using this Baby Quasar device.

There is a 5-year warranty on this device. If you look at the price of $249, you would only be spending $49.80 per year on this device. When you visit a salon that offers various red light therapy treatments, including facials and peels, you can expect to pay way more than that. So, in a nutshell, it's quite affordable.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (or FDA) has approved all of Baby Quasar's devices, including the Pure Rayz. If you are someone who follows the FDA and their regulations, you will definitely find this amazing Baby Quasar addition quite appealing.

After using the device for 8 weeks (as directed) it only takes a few days of week to maintain your results. And if you are unhappy with the results after 60 days, I have to admit that I love the fact that Baby Quasar offers a money back guarantee.

CONS

I find this device amazing, however, after using it for a week, I noticed that my skin would tend to dry out. My skin is combination due to my current environment, but it is naturally normal-to-oily. The dryness went away after using a good serum followed by moisturizer. I also incorporated exfoliation daily into my regular skincare regime to get rid of dead skin cells which also works to stimulate collagen production.

You can purchase Baby Quasar's Pure Rayz here or at your nearest Baby Quasar retailer for $249. Would I use this red light therapy device again? Absolutely. In fact, I just used it 5 minutes ago.

Would I recommend it to a friend or family member? Yes. One thing is certain, I am definitely looking forward to what the future holds with Pure Rayz because so far, the results have been astonishing.
