Get the makeup look: Emily Blunt at The Girl on the Train NYC premiere

Emily Blunt looked amazing in her emerald green Prada dress for the New York City premiere of her latest film The Girl on the Train. The British beauty stunned the red carpet in an effortless hair style courtesy of Ashley Streicher. As her hair really brought the entire look together, her makeup really complemented her style. Courtesy of Jenn Streicher, the stunning starlet was treated to a bold, modern and edgy makeup look.

“The Girl on the Train.” Streicher shared, “I wanted to highlight Emily’s flawless skin and give her a unique lip color that you never see on the red carpet,” she continued.

So, is it possible to recreate this makeup look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the celebrity makeup artist prepped the British beauty's skin. She used the Sisley Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil. As she continued with the preparation process, she applied the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Hydrating where she massaged the product into Blunt's skin. To complete the prep, Streicher applied the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance on Blunt's cheekbones to give them a subtle sheen.

As Streicher continued with the makeup look, she applied the Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation in Ivory all over Blunt's face. Then, she set the foundation with the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. “If you have gorgeous skin like Emily’s, you can make anything look good,” Streicher shared.

To achieve a rosy flush on Blunt's cheeks, the celebrity makeup artist dotted the Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Rosebud onto the apples of Blunt's cheeks and blended outwards with her fingers. Then, she brushed the Laura Mercier Candleglow Concealer and Highlighter directly above Blunt's cheekbones and under her eyes to add a natural highlight to her face.

As she continued, the celebrity makeup artist applied the Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat and layered the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rosegold on top to give her lids a hint of sparkle. Adding drama to the eye, Streicher lined Blunt's top lid with Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner in Black Ebony. Then, she finished the stunning starlet's eyes with several coats of Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara in Black Onyx.

Streicher began by brushing Blunt's brows out with the Laura Mercier Brow Dimension Fiber Infused Colour Gel in Brunette. “I love using the colored gel because it can help to darken the ends of the brows where they tend to get a little bit light,” Streicher shared. Then, she finished Blunt's brows by coloring them in with the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil.

To finish the entire makeup look, Streicher layered the Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in French Kiss and Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Boudoir. To blend the two colors, she used the Laura Mercier Lip Colour Brush. “Emily’s entire look was based around the lip color,” Streicher shared.

Congratulations! You have just recreated Emily Blunt's makeup look for The Girl on the Train NYC premiere.

Get the hair look: Emily Blunt at The Girl on the Train NYC premiere

Emily Blunt always stuns the red carpet and this evening is no exception. The British beauty looked amazing in a green Prada dress. As her makeup really shined and complemented the look, her hair really brought the entire look together. Courtesy of Ashley Streicher for StriVectin HAIR, the stunning starlet was treated to an outstanding hair look to complement her custom dress.

"Emily is wearing a custom Prada dress tonight. Because it’s quite classic, Jenn [makeup] and I definitely wanted to modernize her look a bit with hair and makeup, wearing her cute new bob down," Streicher shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Streicher prepped Blunt's hair using the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo and the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Conditioner. Then, she sprayed the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster.

Once the hair was clean, the celebrity stylist applied a few pumps of the StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment directly to Blunt's roots. Then, she applied the StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Bodifying Radiance Serum through the ends of her hair before combing through the hair.

Taking a small-to-medium round brush, Streicher began to blowout Blunt's hair. Not for volume, but more so for texture. Once the hair was fully dry, Streicher created a strong side part using a rat tail comb. Then, she used a dry textured spray at the roots only and avoided the ends of the hair.

As she continued, Streicher chose random pieces of Blunt's hair. Then, she went over the hair wave with a flat iron. Taking pieces of the hair, the celebrity stylist tucked pieces of hair behind the stunning starlet's ears. She, then, kept waves from her face with setting clips until Blunt walked out the door.

To finish the look, she sprayed a strong-hold hairspray.

Congratulations! You have recreated Emily Blunt's hair look for 'The Girl on the Train' New York City premiere.

September 2016: Beauty Favorites

The TYME Iron, one of my favorite
beauty products for the month
of September.
September was a month to remind us that Fall is here and before you know it Winter will soon be here. As we say goodbye to Summer and fly into Fall, where we can appreciate the colorful leaves that fall from the trees and the strong scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and cedar manifesting through the air, October is a month to look forward to for many reasons. But the question remains - what about September? During the ninth month of the year, I have discovered quite a few beauty essentials that I truly love. So, what are they? What are my beauty favorites for the month?

My first favorite for the month is definitely the Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Multi-Repair Oil. The moment put this oil on my face, I just knew it was magic. Made with precious botanicals such as peony and rare orchid, this is the perfect multi-use product. Not only is it amazing for your face, it is great for your entire body and your hair too. Plus, it works amazingly to protect, correct and even prevent your skin from getting exposed to various DNA and environmental stressors. I have tried an array of face oils and this one is my favorite right now.

If you know me, you know how much I love and appreciate Giorgio Armani Beauty's Armani Prima line. One of my beauty favorites right now is definitely the Armani Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Balm. Not only does this product provide your skin with instantaneous hydration, but the hydration it provides is long-lasting. I suffer from combination skin which tends to lean towards dry in the Fall and Winter months. This is the perfect essential for anyone with dry skin or has the same skin type as me where it leans towards dry during the colder climates. Also, after using this product for two weeks I noticed a lot of natural changes.

I love trying an array of face washes. With my combination skin, I believe trying different types wakes up my skin and keeps it looking and feeling its best. And even though I have quite a few favorite cleansers, right now I am relatively obsessed with the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser. This warming gel really works to remove impurities such as dirt and oil without drying out the skin. It also works to refine the texture of your skin without destroying your skin's natural acid mantle and pH balance. I have oily skin in the Spring and Summer months and dry skin in the Fall and Winter months and this face cleanser works all year round.

Face masks are definitely important and one of my favorite things to incorporate into my skincare regimen. Recently, I have been fascinated with the VBeaute Deep Sheet Purifying Charcoal Mask. I love this mask because it makes my face feel and look amazing. Not only does it hydrate, it purifies your skin and tightens it. Great for every skin type, this mask is one to really value because it delivers true results. I have tried so many masks including sheet masks and right now this one of my favorite.

As much as I love and appreciate the entire L'ANZA Keratin Healing Oil Collection, I must say that I am obsessed with the L'ANZA Healing Hair Treatment most of all. As we fly into Fall, our hair changes naturally due to the climate and the environment in which we live. This product works incredibly to protect your hair, treat it effectively and efficient and prevent it from caving into any type of problematic hair issue which will affect it later. There is so much that needs to be said about a product that can take on your hair and prevent it from being exposed to harsh pollution and other forms DNA damage.

I have learned to love and value an array of styling tools including flat irons, curling irons, etc. Recently, I discovered the TYME Iron. Featuring 400 degree gold-plated titanium plates and a rotating swivel cord, this is one of the only few high-tech hair devices that will both straighten and curl your hair. Plus, it is gorgeous and offers a 1-year warranty. As much as I love certain hair straighteners and irons, right now I am truly loving this one most of all.

Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger is one of the most underrated beauty brands in the world today. And just recently, I discovered the Motives Lip Candies. Not only do this deliciously daring lip glosses provide your lips with haute hydration and cute color, but they smell and taste amazing. With everything from Cotton Candy and Rock Candy to Milk Chocolate and Butterscotch they are fun for every age and favorite for the month.
